Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use learnsay.com (the "service"). By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
learnsay.com offers language lessons, games and practice tools. Most of it is free. Some course levels need a paid subscription, learnsay Plus (below). The service is provided "as is", and we may change, add or remove features, content or languages at any time.
learnsay Plus (paid subscription)
- Price and billing: Plus is billed in advance, monthly or yearly, at the price shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel any time from "Manage subscription" in your account menu. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds: payments aren't refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise. If something went wrong, email us and we'll look at it.
- Price changes: if the price changes, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
- What it unlocks: Plus unlocks the paid levels of courses marked as needing it. Which courses and levels are free may change over time.
Your account
You can use learnsay.com without an account. If you sign in with Google, you're responsible for activity on your account. Please don't create accounts to manipulate the leaderboard or misuse the service.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- post hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful content, including in custom courses or display names;
- interfere with the service, probe or attack its systems, or scrape it at a scale that degrades it for others.
We may remove content or restrict access for anyone who breaks these rules.
Custom courses you create
You keep ownership of what you write in custom courses. By making a course public, you give us permission to host, display and share it on learnsay.com so others can learn from it. You must have the right to share anything you add. We may remove any course, public or private, at our discretion.
Learning content
We work hard on accurate translations, romanizations and pronunciation, but language content can contain mistakes. Automated speech scoring and generated audio are approximate. Please don't rely on learnsay.com for professional, legal, medical or safety-critical translation.
Third-party content
Some mini-games are open-source projects used under their own licenses (for example MIT and MPL-2.0), credited in their folders. Their licenses govern those components.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or progress. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending use
You can stop using learnsay.com at any time and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
